FranklinWH is focused on energy management solutions providing safety, reliability and energy independence for homes. Franklin Home Power (FHP) is a whole-home energy management system integrating solar, battery, grid and generator power sources and managing them to optimize the safety, reliability and efficiency of home energy. The FHP is designed for simplicity and is easy to install, maintain and operate.

FranklinWH is a research-driven company focused on next-generation residential energy management and storage solution. Founded in 2019, headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, and funded by Sequoia Capital, FranklinWH’s team has decades of experience in energy systems, from design, through manufacturing, to sales and installation. We are also AVL listed with multiple financial institutions.

Team
Seventy percent of FranklinWH employees are in R&D, with more than half of that team holding advanced degrees. Our in-house design team are experts in electrical systems and have a variety of backgrounds including in UPS development. The complete FHP system was designed with both homeowners and our partners in mind, for safety, simplicity and reliability.
Market Recognition
FranklinWH’s investors include key players with tier 1 battery manufacturing backgrounds and top VCs such as Sequoia Capital. We have tremendous leverage on the supply chain, including tier 1 LFP cell access, and are thus able to bring the highest-value products to market. The recognition of the strength of our company is also reflected in our AVL listings with financial institutions such as Mosaic and GoodLeap.

About Our Name
Benjamin Franklin is known for many things. He was the Colonies’ version of a Renaissance Man. In the scientific world, he showed constant curiosity and advanced knowledge through experimentation and innovation. One of his most valuable areas of interest was electricity. As the person who first coined the word “battery”, Franklin did more experimentation than just his famous experiment with a kite during a lightning storm. He knew electricity was potentially useful but also clearly dangerous. To protect people and buildings, he invented the lightning rod. Ben’s interest in both sides of electricity is the inspiration for the FranklinWH name. We know that electrical supply needs to be reliable and safe. Our interest in whole-home energy solutions led us to our FranklinWH name.
