The battery capacity (kW) should align with your home’s total backup needs. To determine the right size, consider the following:

1. The peak load power (kW) indicated on your utility bill for full-home backup.
2.  The combined capacity (kW) of the home appliances that need backup power.
3. The maximum Locked Rotor Amperage (LRA) of motor loads, including air conditioners and swimming pool pumps.
4. The amount of time you want the batteries to supply backup power.
