What is PowerPair SM ?
PowerPair is the solar + battery program that encourages homeowners to install new solar panels & battery storage in return for savings up to $9000 in a one-time incentive. Homeowners can enjoy reduced carbon emissions of solar power paired with reliability of the FranklinWH aPower battery storage through the PowerPair incentive program.
How Does the Duke Energy Solar+Battery Program Work?
Based on the equipment installed, Duke Energy homeowners can receive up to $3,600 for solar and up to $5,400 for battery systems when installed together. This one-time incentive may be able to be paired with the 30% Investment Tax Credit.
Eligibility
- You must be a customer of either Duke Energy or Duke Energy Progress in North Carolina.
- You can lease, finance or buy the system and be eligible for the PowerPair incentives.
- The equipment must be installed by a Duke Energy Trade Ally.
- The maximum export to the grid from the customer’s energy system, including but not limited to installed equipment, must not exceed 20 kW-AC at any time.
- The installed equipment must comply with interconnection standards.
- The installed equipment must maintain Internet connectivity to provide required operation and operating characteristic data.
