Connecting your FranklinWH system to the Internet allows you to monitor your system and receive periodic device software updates via the FranklinWH App. We recommend configuring your system with as many supported internet connection types as possible, including Wifi, Ethernet and 4G. This way, each aGate will intelligently switch to the best available connection. A Wifi or Ethernet connection is preferred to the 4G cellular network, as 4G is easily affected by carrier services and weather conditions.

Note: If you are experiencing Wifi connection issues, check your network connection type or check your network signal strength. If your Wifi signal is weak, consider using a Wifi extender or powerline adapter if they meet the supported 10/100 Mpbs standard.
If you change your Wifi password after the system is connected, the system will be unable to connect and you’ll need to reconfigure the Wifi in the app with the new password.

Troubleshooting
-
If the connection to the Wifi network fails, restart your FranklinWH system, wait approximately five minutes and try again.
- A Wifi signal strength between two or three bars is required for successful connection to your home network. If a signal strength of two or three bars is not achieved, relocate your access point or consider alternative connectivity options.
